A Teddy Bear Story
Die Geschichte von
Teddybär Peter
The story of teddy
bear Peter
Angefangen
It all
started with an email to a teddy artist in which the beginning
of this story was described. Via mail this story were given to
various artists and teddy friends and grew with each addition
which a teddy friend made. It was like waiting for a birth. We
were very excited to see what would happen and how many people
would participate. All these people will tell what happened to
teddy Peter. Let us surprise you!
Wir danken allen
Mitwirkenden!! - We thank all participants!!
Namen

hat einen Teil der Geschichte geschrieben.

A Teddy Bear Story
Silence woke him up. It was so very
peaceful and quiet. Teddy Peter sat up and tipped his head. Not
a sound, no birds, nothing.
„That´s funny,“ he thought, „what happened?“
He stretched and wiped the sleep from his eyes.
Slowly Peter got out from under his warm blanket and put his feet
into the red slippers. Strange white light came through the window.
Peter looked out and jumped with joy.
„Snow, oh boy!“
The fields and woods around his
little wooden house where covered with white powdery snow and
looked just like fairy land. This was the day he had been waiting
for. The last few weeks had gone by in a buzz of activities and
travel preparations. Peter had planned a trip around the world
and had wanted to start when the first day of snow came.
He was so excited. Quickly he made breakfast
while trying to get dressed at the same time. He had packed everything
already not wanting to loose time.
Dressed in a big sweater, warm pants, high
snow boots and his yellow jacket he looked ready to go. With a
big sigh he shouldered his rucksack and stepped outside. The world
was silent.
“Like stepping into cotton wool,“ Peter thought,
as he made his way down the small way leading into the woods.
With a last glance towards his little house he walked away.
On the other side of the woods,
Teddy Peter paused and looked toward the village in the valley
below. Fresh-fallen snow glittered like diamonds on the roofs;
warm, cozy fires inside the houses sent wisps of smoke curling
into the cold, crisp air.
“Oh“, said Peter, „I’ve seen this village
a thousand times, but it’s never looked as beautiful as today.
I wish I had a special friend to share this with.“
He hurried down the path, eager to be on
his way.
Nearing the village, Teddy Peter
stopped short, realizing he heard a strange sound. He looked
left, he looked right, he looked behind him, and didn’t see a
thing. But there it was again.
“Honk“ “Honk“ “Honk“, and it seemed to be
coming from a clump of bushes just off the little path. Gathering
his courage, he stepped toward the brush to investigate.
Just then, the leaves started to quake and shake, and Teddy Peter
was certain a huge scarey monster would jump out and devour him
in one gulp. The leaves parted, he took a step back, and fell
on his bottom. Eyes wide as saucers, he watched as a large,
handsome goose walked out of the underbrush.
“Honk, honk, why are you sitting in the cold
snow?“ asked the goose. “Honk, honk, don’t you know how silly
you look? What’s your name little bear? My name’s
Sebastian, and I’m so pleased to meet you, honk, honk.“
Teddy Peter stood up , shook off
the snow, and tried to regain his composure.
“Well, um, er, my name is Teddy Peter, and
I’m pleased to meet you too. I’m very glad you weren’t a
huge scarey monster that would devour me in one gulp.“ Sebastian
the goose looked closely at Teddy Peter and understood immediately
that this little bear would be a wonderful friend.
“And where are you off to, Teddy Peter, with
your rucksack and warm traveling clothes?“
“Oh, I’m going to travel around the world,
and I’m beginning my journey today. Would you like to join
me, Sebastian? I think we’ll have a grand adventure together.“
“There’s nothing I’d like more than to travel around the world
with you, Teddy Peter. Tell me, where are we going first?“
To which Teddy Peter excitedly replied,
“Well, our first stop is...“
